A reference to the Crown Agents letter referred to above will show that the Head Nurse and two of the Nurses were obtained from the London Hospital, while it must be remembered that Dr Atkinson was for a long time connected with the same institution.
The Matron of that Hospital having no doubt frequently occasion to communicate with Miss Eastmond, possesses means of knowing the exact conditions of the life and work at the Hospital here, knowledge which would be of great assistance in selecting a suitable candidate.
